The origin of the name Sofizar is lost in the mist of time. Theories abound. While some have postulated that Sofizar is an amalgamation of “Software Bazaar”, we have found no evidence to support it. Others favor the theory that its named after two potted plants SOFIa and naZAR . While we can’t confirm or deny this theory, the consensus amongst experts is that the root words are “Sofos”(Wise) and “Zar” (Wealth).
